LIKE ICARUS, TO THE SUN

Now that your sight have I seen

I know why

Icarus flew

So close to the Sun

Spread out his wings

Circling up and up

Mesmerized by the sight of

The beauty he saw

With abandon

A moment lived

With pleasure

A fate embraced

Oh, to be

In the sight of such transcendence

Oh, to be

In the reach of such excellence

You are the Helios

I would gladly leave my Terrus for

You are the Siren

I would gladly abandon my Sails for

Like a parched Bedouin

Feasting himself on poison

Like a frozen Eskimo

Setting himself on fire

My love

My life

Embrace me in your blazing arms

Kiss me with your venomous lips

And put me to rest

In this storm of yours

For then at last

I will be at peace, at peace, at peace.
